BEST PRACTICES

  • When receiving order into a market at the warehouse:
    • Have a different staff member (than the one who picked the order) do it
    • Confirm that the correct products have been picked, by scanning all the picked products’ UPCs
    • Confirm that the correct quantities have been picked
  • When receiving order into a market at the market location:
    • Confirm that the correct products have been picked, by scanning all the picked products’ UPCs
    • Confirm that the correct quantities have been picked
  • When reconciling market inventory:
    • If there is a substantial amount of products to spoil, use the Spoil Only option first, and then reconcile the rest of the inventory
      • If only a few expired/damaged products are found during reconciliation, spoil them during reconciliation
      • If many additional expired/damaged products are found during reconciliation, separate them & use the Spoil Only function again after reconciliation
    • If market has >100 different products or high shrinkage, reconcile one or a few categories at a time – e.g. all refrigerated beverages – for better system performance
