GrabScanGo Front Desk Pay Terminal (10″) Setup Instructions

1. Assemble Terminal

  1. Assemble the table stand
  2. Run the DC cable of the Elo device’s power supply through inside of stand’s pole
  3. If connecting to Internet using Ethernet, also run Ethernet cable through inside of stand’s pole
  4. Place 10″ Elo device with screen face down in portrait mode on a flat surface, such that front-facing camera is on right side
  5. Remove bottom peripheral slot cover, plug scanner into slot, and fasten it with included 2 screws (included with scanner)
  6. Remove right-side peripheral slot cover, plug MagTek eDynamo card reader into slot, and fasten it with included 2 screws (included with card reader)
  7. Plug DC power connector into power slot of Elo device
  8. If connecting to Internet using Ethernet, plug connector of Ethernet cable into Ethernet slot of Elo device

2. Configure Terminal (Preferably done at operator’s office, at least 48 hours prior to market opening)

  1. Submit Onboarding Form
  2. If connecting terminal to Internet using Ethernet, make sure Ethernet cable is plugged into a working Ethernet wall slot or LAN port of a router (cellular or other)
  3. Connect terminal to AC power, and allow it to boot up – usually takes 1-2 minutes
  4. If using an Elo 4.0 device, 3 options – “Enroll with EloView”, “Enroll with GMS”, and “Android Home Mode” – will be displayed when terminal is fully powered up. Click “Enroll with EloView” – Do NOT click any of the other 2 buttons
  5. OPTIONAL: If connecting to Internet using WiFi:
    • Select WiFi network – if using WTI cellular router provided by AveriGo, select “gsgprivate”
    • Enter WiFi network’s password – if using WTI cellular router provided by AveriGo, password is “Gr@65c@nG0” (last digit is a zero)
  6. AveriGo support personnel will configure & update device
  7. AveriGo support personnel will install GrabScanGo pay terminal app on device
  8. Allow app to turn on Bluetooth when prompted
  9. Allow access to Location Services when prompted
  10. Log into GrabScanGo pay terminal app using your pay-terminal-specific account – contact [email protected] if you do not have an account
  11. Plug beacon provided by AveriGo for the new market into wall outlet – associated market should now be displayed on the screen
  12. Click “Click to Start Scanning”
  13. Scan the “Disable QR Code” barcode displayed below; Scanner will emit short beep if barcode is successfully scanned – this disables scanner from scanning QR codes

For Elo 2.0 & 3.0 devices

Password for Control Panel & Admin is “9n60rk”
Password before Elo device has been onboarded to EloView is “1elo”

For Elo 4.0 devices

Password for Control Panel & Admin is “1elo”
Password before Elo device has been onboarded to EloView is “9n60rk”

3. Install Terminal at Market Location, and Test Purchase Flow

  1. Connect device to AC power, and allow it to boot up – usually takes 1-2 minutes
  2. Set up Internet connection (if WTI cellular router is being used at location, see installation instructions below):
    • If connecting to Internet using location’s Ethernet, connect Ethernet cable between terminal & location’s Ethernet outlet
    • If connecting to location’s or WTI router’s (provided by AveriGo) WiFi:
      1. Press both buttons on rear of device simultaneously so Control Panel password popup is displayed on screen
      2. Enter password: 1elo or 9n60rk (depending on whether Elo 2.0/3.0 or 4.0 device)
      3. Click “Admin”
      4. Enter password: 1elo or 9n60rk (depending on whether Elo 2.0/3.0 or 4.0 device)
      5. Click “Settings”
      6. Click “Android Settings”
      7. Click “Network & Internet”
      8. Click “Wi-Fi”
      9. Select WiFi network – if using WTI cellular router provided by AveriGo, select “gsgprivate”
      10. Enter WiFi network’s password – if using WTI cellular router provided by AveriGo, password is “Gr@65c@nG0” (last digit is a zero)
    • If location has a firewall, or will only provide a static IP address, see additional Internet setup instructions below
  3. Plug beacon into wall outlet – associated market should now be displayed on the screen
  4. Click “Click to Start Scanning”
  5. Scan 1 or 2 products
  6. Check out & pay

Additional Internet Setup Instructions

  • If location has a firewall, request location’s IT department to allow access to the following URLs & ports:
    • https://api.averigo.com; Port 443
    • https://payments.averigo.com; Port 443
    • https://analytics.averigo.com; Port 443
    • https://eloview.com; Port 443
  • If location only provides a static IP address:
    • Request the following info from location’s IT department:
      1. IP address
      2. Subnet mask
      3. Gateway address
    • After info is received, configure device:
      • Press both buttons on rear of device simultaneously so Control Panel password popup is displayed on screen
      • Enter password: 1elo
      • Click “Admin”
      • Enter password: 1elo
      • Click “Settings”
      • Click “Android Settings”
      • Click “Network & Internet”
      • Click “Ethernet”
      • Click “Ethernet Configuration”
      • Select “Static IP”
      • Enter IP address, Netmask (Subnet mask) & Gateway address provided by location’s IT department
      • Enter 8.8.8.8 for DNS1 address, and 8.8.4.4 for DNS2 address
      • Click “CONFIRM”

WTI Cellular Router Installation Instructions

  1. Connect both 4G LTE antennas, one to the “Main” port and the other to the “Aux” port, on the front of the router. Always use both antennas provided.
  2. Connect WiFi antenna to the “WiFi” port
  3. Connect the Ethernet cable to the “LAN” port on the back of the router. Then connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the pay terminal you are connecting to the router.
  4. Power on the device by connecting the male end of the power cord to the port labeled “PWR” on the back on the router.
  5. After a few minutes, the router will download the GrabScanGo configuration, and the WiFi hotspot “gsgprivate” will become active – connect second pay terminal to this WiFi hotspot

WTI Router Specifications

  • Cellular (WAN) Connections
    • Dual SIM – Verizon, AT&T
    • Failover Feature:
      • Default setting is automatic failover from Verizon to AT&T SIM, if Verizon signal gets weak or unstable; Resets every night back to Verizon
      • If AT&T signal is stronger or more stable at location, router can be configured for automatic failover from AT&T to Verizon – contact [email protected] to change configuration
  • LAN Connections
    • 2 Ethernet ports
    • WiFi (connect WiFi antenna):
      • SSID: gsgprivate
      • Password (Do not share)Gr@65c@nG0 (last digit is a zero)
    • Whenever possible, use Ethernet for main pay terminal & WiFi for front desk pay terminal
